We believe that research teams should commit to embodying values that upend marginalization, oppression, and continued erasure of the harm that science/scientists can cause among indiviuals and in the world.

We strive to review these goals each time we convene (recurring team meeting, project collaborator meetings, public lab meetings) to ground our interactions in mitigating and owning up to interpersonal harm and land occupation. By stating and revisiting these goals, we aim to cultivate compassion and vulnerability in our professional research community.
